Trustee Thomas WIlls


Thomas Wills, a Colorado native, was born in Salida in 1957. For over 26 years, Wills has been a Hotchkiss in-town resident and business owner. He was elected to his current term in 2014. Previously, he served as trustee from 2000-2010. He brings 12 years of experience to the board of trustees.

In addition, he is a founding and current member of the Hotchkiss Planning Commission, a member of the Leroux Creek Area Planning Committee and the Hotchkiss Neighborhood Watch board.

Wills is a longtime volunteer with the Hotchkiss Chamber of Commerce. He is co-leader of the Hotchkiss Downtown Improvement Committee and volunteers with the Hotchkiss Crawford Historical Society.

He formerly served on the Memorial Hall Board and one term with the North Fork Mosquito Abatement District.

Wills has been the co-publisher and editor of the North Fork Merchant Herald since 1996.

He owns Wills Gallery and Used Books.

He is a professional freelance writer and artist.

His current additional passion is forming a non-profit, Food & Energy Education Development Association – FEEDA – North Fork, to provide climate science educational programs and encourage local actions to mitigate climate change and encourage adaption.
