Hotchkiss Highway Clean-Up May 8, 2017

On Monday, May 8, 2017 the Hotchkiss K-8 National Junior Honor Society, Hotchkiss High School Student Government, Hotchkiss Public Works, Hotchkiss Public Safety, Hotchkiss Mayor and Trustees, and the Lions Club completed the annual highway clean-up around Hotchkiss to coincide with the Sheep Dog Trials, May 12-14, and Hotchkiss High School Graduation, May 21. The able crew divided up into teams and picked up trash east of the railroad crossing on Highway 133, Bulldog Street, the Pool and Recreation area, Cedar Street up to Willow Heights Park, Lorah Lane, around the Hotchkiss K-8 School and pathways, the Disk Golf Course, entries into the fairgrounds and park area. The Hotchkiss Marshal’s Office and Public Works provided traffic control. All the teams then enjoyed pizza for lunch. Way to go everyone for making our town look so great!
